Bryansk Automobile Plant BNM Suspends Van Production

The reason was a drop in sales

Bryansk Automobile Plant BNM has suspended the production of vans, Avtostat agency reported.

Since the launch of large-unit assembly in March 2025, only 110 vans of two models have been assembled in Bryansk - the Chinese BAW T7 with a carrying capacity of 1,500 kg and the BNM Model 1, a copy of the Chinese FAW T80 with a carrying capacity of up to 900 kg.

Currently, not even all of these cars have been sold.

In 2025, sales of light commercial vehicles in Russia have been falling for six consecutive months.

According to Avtostat, only 46,935 new LCVs were sold in Russia in the first seven months of this year. This is 17.8% less than in January-July 2024.
