Omoda C7 crossover recall announced in Russia

The cars require replacement of the plastic steering wheel trim

Omoda has announced a recall of C7 crossovers in Russia. The cars need to have the plastic steering wheel trim replaced, complete with the driver's front airbag.

Tests revealed that excessive guide tilt led to a reduction in the working stroke of the pressing equipment and loose fixation of the plastic cover when pressed onto the airbag housing.

Omoda has sent a notification to Rosstandart about the start of the recall campaign. Official dealers of the brand will handle the component replacement, and it will be free for car owners. The exact number of crossovers subject to the recall is not specified.

Omoda C7 is a new model in the brand's lineup, and its sales started in Russia at the end of May this year.
