The "Moskvich" car plant may release a new crossover based on a model of the British-Chinese brand MG, reports the portal "Chinese Cars" with reference to data from the register of declarations of conformity for a new model with the commercial name "Moskvich M70".
Obtaining the document is necessary for the certification of the model in the country and the start of official sales.
The document indicates the internal factory number (AS33), under which only one model is produced in China — the second-generation MG HS crossover, focused on export.
With a wheelbase of 2765 mm and a body length of 4655 mm, the MG HS in the model range of the Russian brand may be located between the "Moskvich 3" and the new "Moskvich 8".
The car in the "base" is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 172 hp in combination with a seven-speed "robot", a more powerful version has a two-liter 231-horsepower engine with a nine-speed "automatic", the drive is front.
