Abdulkadir Uraloglu accelerated his car to 225 km/h

Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu exceeded the speed limit by more than 80 km/h during an inspection and assessment of the situation on the Ankara-Nigde highway. According to the official, he accelerated his car to 225 km/h with a speed limit of 140 km/h "unconsciously".

For driving "with a breeze" to Turkish music, the Minister of Transport of the Turkish Republic was issued a significant fine of 9.2 thousand Turkish lira (approximately 18,000 rubles).

According to Uraloglu, he personally sent a video of the violation to the competent authorities, apologized to the citizens, and emphasized that, regardless of the position held, respect for traffic rules is mandatory for everyone.

Note that in the Russian Federation for a similar excess (more than 80 km/h), the amount of the fine is 7,500 rubles or deprivation of rights for 1 year, if this is the first such violation, subsequent ones may lead to fines of up to 500,000 rubles and criminal prosecution.
