AvtoVAZ is preparing an update to the popular Lada Niva Travel SUV and has registered a number of patents related to the restyling. New elements of the car's design and exterior have appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), which may be included in the serial version of the model in the future.
Among the registered parts are a door molding, a wheel disk, a fuel tank screen and a decorative front bumper cover.
It can be concluded that the components indicate upcoming changes in the appearance of the car, as well as improvements in terms of durability and protection.
The new patents indirectly confirm AvtoVAZ's plans to update the design of the Niva, giving the car a more attractive and modern look. In particular, door moldings and a front bumper cover may become part of the refreshed exterior, while the updated wheel disk and fuel tank screen affect the practical side of operation.
