Photos of an Aurus Arsenal minivan with license plates Р008ВВ77 have appeared online, showing a person who strongly resembles hockey player Alexander Ovechkin. The car, manufactured in 2025, is the first known example of the model to fall into private hands. Previously, Aurus Arsenal was produced exclusively for the needs of state structures, and its appearance on the streets before the start of sales is of great interest.
The model was originally developed for official use, but at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2025, plans were announced to enter the open market. Official sales are expected no earlier than 2026, but the pictures suggest that Ovechkin was able to get the car ahead of schedule. This may be due to special conditions for famous personalities or accelerating the certification process for private buyers.
Technically, the Aurus Arsenal is identical to the Senat sedan and the Komendant SUV: a hybrid power plant based on a 4.4-liter V8 with a capacity of about 600 hp, including an electric motor, and a 9-speed automatic transmission KATE. In addition, Aurus manufacturer appointed Andrey Boginsky, formerly the head of PJSC "Yakovlev", as CEO.
