First Private Aurus Arsenal Spotted with Possible Owner in Photo

Previously, Aurus Arsenal was produced exclusively for the needs of state structures

Photos of an Aurus Arsenal minivan with license plates Р008ВВ77 have surfaced online, showing a person who strongly resembles hockey player Alexander Ovechkin. The car, manufactured in 2025, is the first known example of the model to enter private ownership. Previously, Aurus Arsenal was produced exclusively for the needs of state structures, and its appearance on the streets before the start of sales is generating increased interest.

The model was originally developed for official use, but at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025 in June, plans were announced to enter the open market. Official sales are expected no earlier than 2026, but the photos suggest that Ovechkin was able to obtain the car ahead of schedule. This may be due to special conditions for famous personalities or an acceleration of the certification process for private buyers.

Technically, the Aurus Arsenal is identical to the Senat sedan and the Komendant SUV: a hybrid power plant based on a 4.4-liter V8 with a capacity of about 600 hp, including an electric motor, and a 9-speed automatic transmission KATE. In addition, Aurus manufacturer appointed Andrey Boginsky as CEO, who previously headed PJSC "Yakovlev".
