Russians Warned About Fines for Driving a Manual Transmission Car

The penalty will range from 5,000 to 15,000 rubles

Evgeny Ladushkin, head of the expert company LEM Solution, explained what penalty is provided for drivers who drive a car with a manual transmission while only having a license for an automatic transmission.

The expert noted that the popularity of driver's licenses with the AT mark is growing every year. Drivers often prefer this category of license because the training process is greatly simplified.

At the same time, Ladushkin recalled that sometimes there may be a need for the skill of driving a car with a "manual" transmission.

But, having obtained a license for an "automatic", the driver will not be able to drive a "manual". This is punishable by a fine of 5,000 to 15,000 rubles.
