The locally assembled Geely EX5 electric crossover is demonstrating a confident start in the Belarusian market. In three months, 350 vehicles have been sold, which is a high figure for an electric vehicle in the region. The key success factor is the affordable cost. The base version of the crossover costs 73.9 thousand Belarusian rubles, and the top version costs 79.9 thousand Belarusian rubles, which is equivalent to 1.82-1.97 million Russian rubles. For comparison, in Russia, the price for the Geely EX5 starts from 3.75 million rubles.
The attractive price makes the Geely EX5 a competitive choice for buyers in Belarus. The model attracts attention not only with its cost but also with its modern characteristics, including an electric power plant, which meets the growing demand for environmentally friendly cars. The success of sales confirms the interest in electric vehicles in the region, where accessibility plays a decisive role.
In the near future, sales of the hybrid version of the crossover, the Belgee X80, which is a modification of the Geely EX5, will begin in Belarus. Also in October, the start of sales of the Geely Xingyuan, the leader of the Chinese market, assembled in Belarus by large-unit assembly, is expected. These new products may strengthen Geely's position in the electric vehicle market in the region.
