Geely has announced the arrival of the new EX5 EM-i crossover on the Russian market. The car will be the brand's first hybrid model in Russia.
The new product will go on sale in the near future. The Geely EX5 EM-i shares the GEA platform with the regular EX5 with a fully electric power plant and has been sold in Russia since March of this year.
The new crossover received a parallel-sequential hybrid system called Super Hybrid.
On short city routes, the EX5 EM-i can run in fully electric mode. During long trips, an internal combustion engine is used, which can directly drive the front wheels and help replenish the traction battery without being tied to the charging infrastructure.
Technical specifications and prices for the new product have not yet been specified.
