Toyota recalls nearly 600,000 vehicles

The essence of the defect lies in the display of indicators on the dashboard when the engine is started: data on speed, brake condition, and tire pressure may be missing

Toyota has initiated a major recall affecting 591,377 vehicles in the United States due to instrument panel issues. The problem has been identified in the 2023–2024 Venza, RAV4, RAV4 Prime, Highlander, GR Corolla, and Crown models, as well as the 2024–2025 Tacoma, Grand Highlander, Lexus TX, and LS. Additionally, the 2025 Crown Signia, Camry, RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid, 4Runner, and Lexus RX models are also subject to recall. The notification has been submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The essence of the defect lies in the display of indicators on the dashboard when the engine is started: data on speed, brake condition, and tire pressure may be missing. This creates a risk of an accident, as drivers lose access to critical information. The recall covers popular models such as the 4Runner, Tacoma, GR Corolla, and RAV4, highlighting the scale of the problem for the brand.

Dealers will update the software for non-PHEV versions free of charge; for PHEV hybrids, they will conduct diagnostics with possible panel replacement. Notifications will be sent to owners by October 27, but you can already check the VIN on the NHTSA website or call Toyota support at 1-800-331-4331. Internal codes: 25TB08 and 25TA08 for Toyota, 5LB05 and 25LA05 for Lexus. Repairs are performed in accordance with federal law at no cost to owners.
