Sales of the Great Wall Poer pickup with a 3.0-liter V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission have begun in China. The vehicle, designed specifically for extreme conditions, including desert landscapes, is offered in a single configuration for about 33 thousand dollars (approximately 2.7 million rubles). A powerful 360-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive with a BorgWarner clutch ensure high cross-country ability, while a low gear and differential locks make the pickup versatile for different types of terrain.
The Great Wall Poer V6 is equipped with off-road equipment: safety arcs, running boards, a new cargo platform, and K-MAN nitrogen shock absorbers with eight-position adjustment. Off-road tires, sills, a winch, and crankcase protection are optionally available. The approach and departure angles are 33 and 22 degrees, respectively, and the dimensions are 4963 × 1975 × 1950 mm with a wheelbase of 2745 mm and a weight of 2285 kg. Maneuverability is improved thanks to the "tank turn" function and a snorkel.
Externally, the model does not differ from the version with a 2.0-liter engine, retaining a laconic design. Equipment includes towing hooks and electronically controlled differential locks. The new pickup demonstrates how Chinese automakers are closing the gap with American competitors, offering powerful and functional SUVs at an affordable price.
