AvtoVAZ has actually suspended production of the Lada Aura model, although the line is not officially closed. According to an insider, a former engineer of the enterprise known as KhaDm, not a single such car has been produced in the last three months. The plant is capable of resuming assembly at any time, but the demand for Aura turned out to be minimal. Only about 5 thousand units have been assembled in the entire year of production, that is, about a year, which emphasizes the weak interest of buyers in this model.
Despite the modest volumes, dealers still have unsold stocks. Many car dealerships across the country still offer Lada Aura, produced in November-December 2024. A particularly striking example is one of the Togliatti dealers, where eight cars of the same date have accumulated on the site. This indicates problems with sales: cars are idle, and discounts do not always help speed up sales.
Technically, the Lada Aura is equipped with a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 122 hp in combination with a variator. The model is available in two versions: Premier for 2.6 million rubles and Status for 2.8 million rubles. Taking into account the maximum discounts, the price drops to 2.05–2.25 million rubles, but even such an adjustment does not attract enough customers.
