Car dealerships will not sharply increase car prices due to the recycling fee

Over the year, the average price for new foreign cars in the Russian Federation increased by 1.85%

Car dealers in Russia will not sharply increase car prices, even taking into account the new mechanism for calculating the recycling fee. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, even taking into account the new mechanics, the price correction from official car dealers will be far from sharp jumps towards higher prices.

Not to mention that buying a car from a dealer means saving on the cost of owning a car due to the official warranty, service, and well-established supply chains for spare parts.

For example, the price for Belgee, Exeed and Omoda models fell by 8–17% per year, Alikhanov specified.
