In September 2025, the average cost of a new Russian car increased to 1.66 million rubles - the maximum in the last two years. According to analysts, the growth amounted to 71 thousand rubles or 4.5% compared to August.
Compared to August, the increase in cost affected, first of all, domestic brands. Experts attribute the dynamics to the revival of demand after the key rate cut, a decrease in the share of last year's cars in warehouses, and a reduction in discounts from manufacturers. The last time a similar price level was recorded in September 2023.
The average price of Chinese cars also increased - to 3.59 million rubles, which is 1.5% higher than the August figure. Despite the growth, it remains 155 thousand rubles below the March peak of 2025.
Among domestic models, the largest growth was shown by cars of the Solaris brand. The KRX hatchback rose in price by 3.5%, to 2.44 million rubles, and the KRS sedan - by 2%, to 2.34 million rubles. The top five leaders in terms of increasing the average cost also included Chinese models GAC GS4 (5.7%; 3.17 million rubles), Hongqi HS3 (3.7%; 3.4 million rubles) and Lixiang L7 (2%; 7.2 million rubles).
