The initial capacity of the plant will be 150,000 vehicles per year, and in the future it is planned to double it to 300,000. Investments in the project reached 5.5 billion reais (about 978 million dollars), making this facility the largest foreign plant of BYD.

After reaching full capacity, the company expects to create more than 20,000 jobs, both direct and indirect.

In the first stages of assembly, the Song Pro hybrid SUV, the Dolphin Mini electric hatchback, and the King hybrid sedan will be produced. In the future, the lineup will be expanded with models designed specifically for the South American market.
