Testing of an updated version of the compact Gazelle e-City electric bus has begun in Moscow. The model is designed for routes with low load and will complement the electric transport fleet, which has more than 2,400 units.
The updated version abandons the three folding seats on the platform for passengers with strollers and bicycles in order to free up space for low-mobility groups. The cabin has 10 seats and 4 standing places, not counting the driver's seat.
Compared to the first version, the electronic equipment has been improved and the software has been updated. The electric bus has a range of 150 km on a single charge, which is sufficient for an urban route with frequent stops and active use of recuperation during braking.
The compact Gazelle e-City has standard equipment for Mosgortrans transport - climate control, electronic displays, doors with opening buttons and a folding ramp.
