GAC is preparing to launch a new hybrid crossover S7, a direct competitor to Li Auto L6, on the Russian market. The model has already passed the EAEU certification and is preparing to receive the OTTS, and sales are expected to start in early 2026.
GAC S7 is a large five-meter SUV with a hybrid powertrain, including a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 160 hp and two electric motors. The total output reaches 501 hp, which provides dynamics at the level of premium models. A 36.3 kWh battery allows you to drive up to 180 km on electric power alone, and the total range with a full tank of gasoline reaches 1020 km.
Three versions are certified for Russia - Standard, Elite and Deluxe, each with all-wheel drive. The interior has two rows of seats and a spacious trunk of 720 liters. In terms of equipment and characteristics, the S7 is positioned as a more affordable alternative to Chinese premium-class hybrids. In China, prices range from 1.8 to 2.6 million rubles.
