According to the expert, there has been a surge in car imports in recent months - car enthusiasts rushed to register transport at the old rates, which creates artificial pressure on the market and complicates the customs clearance process. This, in turn, leads to overloading of customs services and price instability among intermediaries involved in the supply of foreign cars.
The initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is aimed at reducing the hype and normalizing the work of customs. This step will allow the market to level out and prepare for the introduction of new rules in a more structured way.
He also noted that the postponement will give consumers the opportunity to wait for more favorable offers from official dealers within the country. According to him, December is traditionally a time of sales, when dealerships offer discounts and promotions that allow you to purchase cars on more attractive terms. This also helps dealers get rid of last year's stocks without serious losses.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was instructed to consider postponing the entry into force of new recycling fee rates. According to the initial plan, the abolition of benefits for cars with a capacity of more than 160 hp was to occur from November 1, 2025.
