In Omsk, a man bought a new Lada Vesta for 1.8 million rubles, but two weeks after the purchase, he noticed rattling and beating in the suspension. Despite appeals to the service, the dealer R-Motors LADA LLC refused to recognize the malfunction, stating that the inspection did not reveal any defects.
The buyer went to court, pointing out that noise and vibration during driving create a safety hazard. By the court decision, a technical examination was appointed, which confirmed the presence of a manufacturing defect and the absence of signs of improper operation.
The Pervomaisky District Court ordered the dealer to replace the car with a new one of the same brand, model and configuration, and also pay compensation. The Omsk Regional Court upheld the decision, recognizing it as justified.
In total, the owner will receive more than 2.3 million rubles, including penalties, fines and compensation for moral damage.
Earlier motoram.ru reported that a Lada dealership closed in St. Petersburg — for the first time in six years.
