Russian drivers have found a brilliant way to save windshield wipers in winter

With the approach of frosts, motorists faced an eternal problem - frozen wipers on the windshield. But resourceful drivers have found a simple solution that will protect the wipers and save them from the morning torment of tearing them off, reports the Avtovzglyad portal.

With the onset of cold weather, a snow brush becomes a constant companion of every motorist. However, it is much more unpleasant to tear off the wipers stuck to the glass every morning, risking damaging them or scratching the glass.

Let us add that it is now forbidden to warm up the engine for a long time: according to current regulations, the engine cannot be kept running for more than five minutes while parked.

A violation is punishable by a fine of 500 rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - up to 3,000 rubles. But in a frozen car, the trip turns into a test, and the icy glass reduces visibility and safety.

Russian craftsmen have found a way to get around this dilemma. The solution turned out to be simple and affordable: compact supports for brushes, printed on a 3D printer. They slightly lift the wipers above the glass, preventing frosting. Bright plastic makes them noticeable, and the cost of the kit is less than a cup of coffee.

In addition, the use of such stops reduces the load on the leash spring and extends the service life of the brushes themselves. According to motorists, this is a great alternative to daily removal of wipers or violation of warm-up rules.
