The pickup has impressive dimensions — 5469 mm in length, 1955 mm in width and 1970 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3488 mm. The new model features powerful off-road potential and preserves the brutal style of the original 212, adapted to the format of a utilitarian cargo-passenger vehicle.

Under the hood is a 2.3-liter Dongfeng turbodiesel with 190 hp. It is expected that BAW will offer the pickup with all-wheel drive and a manual transmission.

The model may be launched in 2026, and the Tanjingzhe 01 itself will compete with the Chinese pickups Haval King Kong and Great Wall Poer.
