Kia Picanto has reappeared on the Russian market — a compact and reliable hatchback that was previously produced in Russia, and is now supplied via parallel import from the UAE. The car's cost starts from 1,600,000 rubles, and the price already includes delivery, customs, electronic PTS registration, and the recycling fee. Deliveries are expected in February 2026 through the port of Novorossiysk.
For this money, the buyer gets a five-door hatchback with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated G4LA engine producing 87 hp and a classic 4-speed "automatic". The engine features a timing chain drive with a lifespan of up to 200,000 kilometers, and with proper maintenance, it is capable of running for over 300,000 kilometers. This is one of the most reliable and unpretentious units in its class.
The equipment level of the version from the UAE is not top-end, but quite modern: air conditioning, an Android multimedia system with a large display, electric mirror adjustment, four power windows, a multi-function steering wheel, and alloy wheels. The interior is fabric, and the engine starts with a key.
Thus, Kia Picanto remains one of the most affordable new cars on the Russian market, especially against the backdrop of Lada Vesta, which in a similar configuration is already approaching 2 million rubles.
