Sales of the new premium crossover Nordcross 001 have started in Russia — a model based on the Chinese Lynk & Co 09, which, in turn, is built on the SPA platform used in the Volvo XC90. According to the brand's official website, the car's cost starts from 6,290,000 rubles.
The Nordcross brand was created as a local brand to promote certified Chinese cars adapted to Russian and northern climatic conditions. The name stands for "Crossovers for the Northern Country".
Nordcross 001 is a full-size crossover with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 258 hp, an all-wheel drive system, and an automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes four-zone climate control, an automatic parking system, multimedia with Russian language support, and an advanced suite of driver assistance systems. Sales have already started in 18 dealerships across Russia, including five in Moscow and three in St. Petersburg. The warranty is three years or 100,000 kilometers.
