Mitsubishi Prepares for Relaunch and Returns to the UK

The brand is counting on a loyal audience

Mitsubishi has officially confirmed that it will return to the UK market in 2026. The import will be handled by International Motors, which already represents Isuzu, Subaru, GWM, and Xpeng in the country. The first deliveries to customers are scheduled for the summer period, but the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the list of models.

According to Autocar, the most likely candidates for return are the new Eclipse Cross, based on the Renault Scenic EV architecture, and the updated Outlander PHEV. The latter has been one of the most popular plug-in hybrids in the UK for many years, so betting on it seems quite justified.

Head of Mitsubishi Europe, Frank Krol, noted that the upcoming models will demonstrate the brand's best technologies - from proprietary all-wheel drive systems to modern hybrid solutions. The company's UK office emphasized that interest in the brand remained even after its departure in 2021, which influenced the decision to return.

As part of the relaunch, Mitsubishi will form an updated dealer network, which will complement the brand's existing 100 service centers. The company is counting on a quick start to sales and the support of loyal customers who have maintained an emotional connection with the brand.
