Abarth decided to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the legendary records set by the 1000 Monoposto model in 1965 in an unusual way. Instead of a special version of the car, the brand, together with the Italian brand Breil, prepared a collection watch dedicated to that historical achievement. The edition is only 465 copies, the cost of each will be 399 euros, which makes the model much more affordable than most automotive chronographs.
In 1965, Carlo Abarth brought the lightweight 1000 Monoposto to record levels in category G, accelerating the 982 cc engine to results of 13.62 seconds in the quarter mile and 15.38 seconds in 500 m. The very next day, the car was equipped with a two-liter engine with a capacity of 216 hp, after which it updated the records in category E - 11.55 and 13.37 seconds. Today, this unique bolide is stored in the Heritage Hub museum in Turin.
The anniversary Breil Abarth 1000 received a stainless steel, carbon and forged carbon fiber case, sapphire glass and racing-style Start/Stop buttons. The back cover is engraved with an individual number and the inscription "1965-2025, Abarth 1000, 60 anni di storia", emphasizing the connection of the chronograph with the historical record.
