Nissan has introduced the 2026 Navara, completely rebuilding the technical foundation of the pickup. While the previous generation was closely related to the Renault Alaskan and Mercedes-Benz X-Class, the new version is based on the platform of the new 2023 Mitsubishi Triton. Under the hood is a 2.4-liter turbodiesel, producing 204 hp and 470 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the average consumption is stated at 7.7 liters. The part-time four-wheel drive system now automatically selects the mode depending on the surface, which simplifies driving in difficult conditions.
Externally, the updated Navara is easily recognizable by the V-motion grille, brightly highlighted triple air intakes, and distinctive C-shaped headlights. The interior has become more modern: a seven-inch digital instrument panel and a multimedia system with a nine-inch touch screen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been installed. The updates also concern ergonomics - the quality of the finish has been improved, and the driver's seating position has become more comfortable on long trips.
Emphasis is also placed on safety: the pickup is equipped with intelligent cruise control, a lane departure prevention system, a lane keeping assistant, and an automatic speed limit function with sign recognition. Sales of the 2026 Navara will start in the spring, and the company promises to reveal the list of configurations and prices closer to the launch.
