Xpeng has announced the achievement of a significant milestone: the brand's millionth car rolled off the assembly line. The growth has accelerated significantly; while it took 82 months to produce the first 500,000 cars, the automaker covered the second half of the journey in just 14 months. This leap is directly related to the popularity of the new budget model, the Mona M03.
According to the company, Xpeng sold 200,000 Mona M03s in just over a year, and this model accounted for about 20% of all sales at the time the million mark was reached. The success of the monobrand has become a key driver of growth, helping Xpeng maintain its position among young Chinese companies specializing in electric vehicles.
Several players in the industry have already crossed the "million" mark: Li Auto was the first to do so, followed shortly by Leapmotor. Xiaomi is rapidly approaching the same figure, having produced the first 500,000 cars in less than two years and is preparing to become the fastest manufacturer to reach one million. Nio is slightly behind, but based on current dynamics, it will also complete the year as a member of the "millionaires club." Against the backdrop of competitors, Xpeng is strengthening its lineup with models with increased range, which should accelerate further growth.
