Market Collapsed by Almost Half: Heavy Truck Sales in Russia Plunged Sharply

KamAZ Leads, but Chinese Brands are Rapidly Taking Market Share

The market for new heavy trucks in Russia has experienced a sharp decline: in November, about 4,000 vehicles with a gross weight of over 16 tons were sold, which is 46% less than last year's result and 21% lower than October's figures. These data were announced by Avtostat experts during an operational online broadcast.

A third of all sales were accounted for by KamAZ—its trucks sold 1,314 units. Chinese Sitrak and FAW, with results of 717 and 461 vehicles, respectively, occupied about 30% of the market, consolidating their position in the top three. The top five also included Shacman (302 units) and Belarusian MAZ (266 units). The most popular model of the month was the Sitrak C7H tractor with a share of 18%.

From January to November 2025, 41.8 thousand new HCVs were sold in the country—a decrease compared to last year reached 56%. The segment of the largest trucks is rapidly shrinking, reflecting the accumulated pent-up demand and the overall cooling of the market.
