One of AvtoVAZ's most important partners, the Dimitrovgrad Automotive Aggregate Plant (DAAZ), has announced a switch to a three-day work week. The new schedule will take effect on January 18, 2026, and employees have already received official notifications.
DAAZ is part of the OAT Group, controlled by KamAZ, and supplies AvtoVAZ with a huge range of parts - from hoses and radiators to pumps, power windows, ignition locks and mirrors.
These components form the basis of mass production, and any reduction in working days can reduce the volume of component production. This creates potential risks in supply chains for AvtoVAZ, especially during periods of growing demand.
According to regional media reports, workers are being offered temporary employment at other enterprises in the Zavolzhye industrial zone. This may alleviate the personnel burden, but it does not yet answer the main question - how long will the three-day week last and will it affect the stability of supplies.
