The Bank of Russia has updated the tariff corridor for OSAGO: for all categories of transport, the range of rates has been expanded by 15%, and for motorcycles - by 40%. The document is recorded in the new Instruction of the Central Bank on OSAGO insurance tariffs. The regulator recalled that for passenger cars used for personal purposes, the corridor limits have not changed since September 2022, while the average payment on policies has increased by 1.5 times during this time.
According to the results of the first nine months of 2025, the average payment increased by another 16% compared to 2024, while the average cost of the policy, on the contrary, decreased by 4%. At the same time, the Central Bank updated the territorial coefficients: in 20 regions they will decrease, and in 28 - they will increase. In some districts of the Novosibirsk region and Ingushetia, the coefficient will be doubled due to the high level of fraud.
The expansion of the corridor, according to the regulator, will allow insurers to more accurately take into account the real risks of drivers and form a "fair" policy price. The updated base rate for passenger cars will vary from 1,399 to 8,665 rubles.
