The Deepal hybrid crossover S07 has completed certification in Russia. The model has received Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) — type C673, modification SC6471EAA6HEV. The document was issued for a Chinese-made vehicle in a hybrid version.
For Russia, the crossover will be equipped with a series hybrid system. It is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that acts as a generator. Movement is provided by an electric motor on the rear axle with a capacity of 238 hp.
The dimensions of the Deepal S07 are 4,750 × 1,930 × 1,625 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The trunk volume reaches 445 liters, and when the rear seats are folded down, it increases to 1,385 liters.
The driver controls the main functions via a central 15.6-inch screen. The transmission selector is located behind the steering wheel, which freed up the central tunnel. Two wireless chargers for smartphones were installed in its place.
Earlier, the media wrote that the Deepal S07, along with the Deepal G318 SUV, could be put on the assembly line of the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Open data on the company's tenders includes the purchase of equipment for the production of four Changan models.
Deepal is a Changan sub-brand that has been developing a line of hybrid and electric vehicles since 2022. It currently includes the G318, S09, S07, S05 and L07 models.
