Russian car market sharply declined against the backdrop of Europe

After taking second place in October, Russia yielded to Germany, Britain, and France

The Russian market for new passenger cars ranked fourth in Europe in November. In October, it held the second position, but a month later, it dropped two places. This conclusion was reached by experts from the Autostat agency, after analyzing data published by the BestSellingCarsBlog portal.

The leader of the European market in November was Germany, where 250,671 cars were sold, which is 2.5% more than the previous year. The second place was taken by the United Kingdom with a result of 151,154 cars, showing a decrease of 1.6%. France came in third with 132,927 cars sold and a decrease of 0.3% compared to November 2024.

The domestic market was in fourth position: in November, 127,921 new passenger cars were sold in the country, which is 5% more than a year ago. It is noteworthy that sales growth was recorded for the first time in the last 10 months - since February. Italy took fifth place in the ranking with a figure of 124,222 cars, and Spain came in sixth, where sales increased by 12.9% and reached 94,124 cars.
