Photos have appeared online showing the new Volkswagen Anhui ID.Unyx 07 electric vehicle, developed on the China Electrical Architecture (CEA) platform in collaboration with Xpeng. The mid-size sedan is equipped with a 170 kW (231 hp) electric motor and a 59.9 kWh battery, providing a claimed range of 558 km.
The car's design is in the style of the ID family: a closed front panel with IQ matrix headlights connected by an LED strip across the entire width, gold-colored illumination of the VW emblem, darkened elements of the front bumper, and sporty accents. The body length is 4853 mm, width is 1852 mm, height is 1566 mm, and the wheelbase is 2826 mm. The side profile is a fastback with recessed door handles, 19- and 20-inch wheels. The rear lights extend across the entire width of the body and are complemented by a raised spoiler and a black diffuser. The driver assistance systems are built on the Horizon Journey 6M platform, including automatic driving with navigation and parking.
The development of the ID.Unyx 07 was carried out by a Chinese team and took about 18 months. The partnership with Xpeng allowed for the integration of modern intelligent systems into a mid-size sedan targeted at the Chinese market.
The model will be part of Volkswagen Anhui's plan to produce more than 20 electrified intelligent vehicles by 2027.
