The Ministry of Emergency Situations equipment was involved in dealing with the consequences of heavy snowfall on the Moscow Ring Road in Moscow. A tracked fire all-terrain vehicle was connected to clearing the highway, and footage appeared on the Web.
Special equipment was brought to several problematic sections of the ring road, where serious traffic jams arose due to snowfall. Earlier, local media reported that on one section, the inner side of the Moscow Ring Road was almost completely blocked due to the accumulation of cars and snow drifts.
The published footage shows a tracked all-terrain vehicle with a color-graphic scheme of the fire department moving along the side of the road and clearing snow. The author of the video clarifies that this technique is used not only for clearing tracks, but also for towing stuck trucks and other heavy equipment.
The involvement of the Ministry of Emergency Situations all-terrain vehicles is associated with worsening weather conditions in the capital region. Due to heavy snowfall and blizzards, traffic on the Moscow Ring Road remained difficult throughout the day, and communal and emergency services were transferred to an enhanced mode of operation.
