JAC has started selling a new modification of the T9 pickup in Russia. The Urban model received a rear multi-link spring suspension Multilink instead of the previous dependent leaf spring, which made the ride smoother and comparable to modern crossovers.
The Urban version is equipped with electronic control of the all-wheel drive system and forced locking of the rear differential. In Russia, the pickup is offered with a two-liter 224-horsepower gasoline turbo engine for 3.65-3.69 million rubles and with a 163-horsepower diesel engine of the same volume for 3.75 million. Both units work with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In 2025, 3.1 thousand T9s were sold in the Russian Federation, of which 60% were purchased by individuals. The new suspension makes the pickup more comfortable in urban operation and on country roads, which will allow JAC to expand its audience of buyers seeking comfort and safety.
The Urban pickup combines off-road qualities with the smooth ride of modern SUVs, while maintaining versatility for work and leisure.
