New trademarks of the South Korean company Kia have been registered in Russia. The information appeared in the electronic database of Rospatent.
According to the documents, Kia filed two applications for trademark registration with the company logo in August and October 2024. In January 2026, Rospatent decided to register them. The term of validity of the rights is set until 2034.
The registered trademarks allow the company to use the brand in Russia for a wide range of goods and services. These include passenger cars, motor boats and bicycles. In addition, under these trademarks, Kia will be able to provide services for the electronic transmission of automotive information and data related to the operation of vehicles.
The company has not made any official statements about the brand's return to the Russian market. Trademark registration does not automatically mean the resumption of sales, but it allows the copyright holder to maintain legal protection of the brand and use it in commercial activities if market conditions change.
