Imports of cars from South Korea to Russia nearly doubled in 2025, reaching a record high of $1.042 billion. For comparison, the volume of deliveries a year earlier was $588 million, representing an increase of 77.2%. This is the first such high since 2021, when exports amounted to $2.55 billion, and in recent years it has fluctuated from $651 to $894 million.
September became the leader in monthly deliveries with $149 million, October showed $142 million, and December ended with $25.4 million. These figures indicate a stable demand for South Korean brands in Russia, despite the overall decline in alternative imports of new cars, which decreased by 5% in 2025.
Experts note that the increase in deliveries was made possible by the expansion of the model range and the active work of importers, as well as the high popularity of affordable and reliable Korean-made cars among Russian buyers. New deliveries continue to strengthen the position of Hyundai, Kia and Genesis in the market.
