The joint SAIC and Alibaba brand — IM Motors — has published the first official images of the new IM LS8 crossover. The market debut of the model is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, and it will be one of the largest and most technologically advanced in the brand's lineup.
The IM LS8 is a full-size crossover with impressive dimensions: a length of 5085 mm, a width of 2000 mm, a height of 1807 mm, and a wheelbase of 3060 mm. Depending on the configuration, the cabin is designed for 5 or 6 passengers, making the model oriented towards both family buyers and the corporate segment.
The car will receive a hybrid power plant, which is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, working in tandem with an electric motor with a capacity of 313 hp. Two versions of the traction battery are provided for the IM LS8 — with a capacity of 52.1 or 65.9 kWh. In fully electric mode, the crossover will be able to travel from 268 to 335 km, depending on the version. The manufacturer promises to reveal the remaining technical details and configurations closer to the start of sales.
