In 20 years, manual car control in Russia will become as exotic as horseback riding. This was stated by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrei Nikitin.
He recalled that horses, with the development of transport, have turned into a niche pleasure for connoisseurs.
In about 20 years, manual car control will be as exotic as horseback riding. Most likely, it will be, but on test tracks, for pleasure. Now they go in for sports on horseback, but no one gallops around Moscow.
As a reminder, as part of the experiment, unmanned trucks have been running on the M-11 "Neva" highway since 2023.
In August last year, an unmanned tractor first drove along the M-12 "Vostok" highway. In August 2018, Yandex unmanned vehicles began transporting passengers in Tatarstan's Innopolis. In the fall of 2023, the same taxis began to be used on the federal territory of Sirius.
