Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has confirmed the possibility of organizing assembly production of its SUVs in Pakistan. The company considers the South Asian country as a promising direction for expanding exports.
According to the company's press service, Pakistan remains of interest to the company and may become a platform for the development of production cooperation in the future.
Pakistan is still of interest, which, it is possible, may result in real steps to organize mutually beneficial cooperation with the South Asian republic in the future.
The main export efforts of the car factory are now focused on other regions. The priorities remain the countries of Latin America, North Africa, and the CIS.
Specific dates for the possible launch of assembly in Pakistan have not yet been determined. It should be noted that negotiations on cooperation have been ongoing since 2017.
