Sales of passenger cars in Russia last week decreased by 19% compared to the previous week, to 18.2 thousand units. This was announced by the head of the Avtostat agency, Sergey Tselikov.
According to him, light commercial vehicles with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons are also down by 13%. A total of 1.2 thousand units were sold, which is 24.5% less than in the fourth week of last year.
It remains to be hoped that the weather - snowfalls and cold weather - had an impact. I don't want to believe in the beginning of another global cooling of demand. Many in the auto business remember the first half of 2025 with horror.
At the same time, sales of trucks did not exceed 900 units. Compared to last week, the decline was 3%, Tselikov added.
