The 14.5-meter-long bus belongs to the extra-large class. It is equipped with a Russian diesel engine from the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. The three-axle Volgabus-627001 will operate on route No. 30 "Domodedovo Airport — Domodedovo Station."

From 2001 to 2007, the 6270 model was produced on a Scania chassis. Then Volgabus, which was previously called Volzhanin, developed its own chassis using components from foreign suppliers. In 2012, the project was closed.

In 2025, the 6270 index was assigned to a new-generation bus. First, the public was shown a gas-powered version with a Chinese Weichai engine, and now a diesel variant has appeared on the line.

One of the model's features is 55 seats — a record figure among city and suburban buses on the Russian market. To ensure maneuverability, the design received a steering third axle.
