Driver's license candidates may be required to retake the theoretical exam if they do not pass the practical exam within six months, TASS reported, citing a source.
A project providing for a repeat theoretical test is already under development.
A draft is currently being finalized on the appointment of a repeat theoretical exam for a driver candidate who has not passed the practical exam within six months from the date of passing the theoretical exam. After that, the project will be submitted to the government.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia prepared a draft government decree with a similar norm. The document assumes that a repeat theoretical exam should be conducted no later than 30 calendar days after the expiration of the established period.
