Over 70,000 drivers have used the electronic car sales service on the "Gosuslugi" portal since 2024, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The service was launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in conjunction with the Ministry of Digital Development. In 2024, almost 13,000 car owners used it. By the end of 2025, the number of users exceeded 50,000 people. In addition, in January of this year, about 6,500 applicants applied to the State Traffic Inspectorate for registration based on electronic contracts. This is higher than the average monthly figure for last year.
An electronic sales contract via "Gosuslugi" has the same legal force as a paper one. Its execution and signing takes no more than 10 minutes. A prerequisite is confirmed accounts of the parties and the availability of the Gosklyuch application.
The service automatically checks the car for restrictions, whether it is wanted or pledged. If restrictions are identified, the system blocks the transaction. Participant data and vehicle information are loaded from personal accounts, which eliminates errors when filling out. The electronic document can be used in tax and judicial authorities.
