KamAZ took first place in the Russian heavy truck market at the end of February 2026. According to the Avtostat agency, carriers purchased 2.9 thousand new vehicles with a gross weight of over 16 tons.
However, the market as a whole has noticeably decreased: sales were 33.4% lower than a year earlier. At the same time, demand increased by 20.8% compared to January.
KamAZ handed over 1063 trucks to customers and significantly outstripped its competitors. The Chinese brands FAW and Sitrak took second and third places with 316 and 298 vehicles, respectively.
The top five suppliers also included Ural (233 trucks) and MAZ (215 vehicles). These brands outperformed a number of Chinese manufacturers, including Dongfeng.
The model rating of the segment has changed its leader. If the Sitrak C7H tractor was previously in first place, now the most popular model is the KamAZ‑43118 - an all-wheel drive truck with a 6×6 wheel arrangement.
