The Ministry of Transport of Russia will introduce an eye-tracking module during exams for drivers and employees of transport companies, the development was commissioned by Rosavtotrans. The system will be integrated into the certification program for specialists working with the transportation of dangerous goods. This is reported by Motor magazine.

According to the technical specifications, a computer with a video camera will monitor the behavior of the examinee during testing. The system will record if a person looks away from the screen or reacts to prompts from the outside.

The document notes that looking away and extraneous voices may be grounds for additional analysis of the exam video. In this case, the testing materials will be checked by examiners to determine possible violations of the certification procedure.

The system will also track user actions on the computer. Candidates are prohibited from switching between browser windows or minimizing the program window in which the testing is taking place.

Before the start of the exam, a corresponding warning will appear in the user's personal account. Computers on which certification is carried out must be equipped with video cameras.

If the system detects signs of cheating or receiving prompts, the exam recording will be sent to specialists for verification.
