China's Leapmotor Achieves First Annual Profit

The company more than doubled its sales

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has achieved its first annual profit. At the end of 2025, the company significantly increased sales and revenue, and also attracted new investments.

Leapmotor was founded in 2015 and began selling cars in 2019. In 2023, one of the world's largest automotive groups, Stellantis, acquired 20% of the Chinese company for 1.5 billion euros.

At the end of 2025, Leapmotor's sales reached 596,555 vehicles, which is 103% more compared to the previous year. During this period, the company introduced several new models, including the Leapmotor B10 crossover, the Leapmotor B01 sedan, and the Leapmotor B05 hatchback.

The manufacturer's revenue increased by 101.3% and amounted to 64.72 billion yuan (about 9.38 billion dollars). The gross margin reached a record 14.5%. Net profit amounted to 540 million yuan (76.8 million dollars), while the company recorded a loss of 2.82 billion yuan a year earlier.

An additional growth factor was the investment from the Chinese state structure FAW Equity Investment. The company acquired 5% of Leapmotor's shares, investing about 3.74 billion yuan.

The development of international sales became possible thanks to the partnership with Stellantis. In 2025, 67,052 vehicles were sold outside of China.

Currently, Leapmotor has about 900 dealerships and service centers in 40 countries around the world. In addition, the company is preparing to launch a CKD assembly project in Spain, where it plans to produce the B10 and B05 models. Production is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
