Hybrids are rapidly gaining popularity in Russia

PHEV share grew to 4.9% despite market decline

In Russia, 7.9 thousand new plug-in hybrids were sold in the first two months of 2026. This was reported by the Avtostat agency with reference to data from JSC "PPK". The growth was 85% compared to the same period last year.

Against the background of a general decline in the passenger car market by 3.9%, the PHEV segment showed growth. Sales increased from 2.6% to 4.9%.

Voyah became the leader among brands with a result of 1,756 cars and a share of 22%. Geely took second place with 1,467 units. Lixiang was in third position, selling 1,050 cars. The top five also included Evolute (832 cars) and Lynk & Co (572 units).

The Voyah Free crossover leads in the model ranking with a result of 1,408 cars sold. Next are Evolute i-SPACE (832 units) and Geely EX5 EM-i (820 cars). At the same time, half of the models in the top 10 are new to the Russian market.
