The KDM plant in Smolensk has launched a new garbage truck assembly line with an area of more than 1,400 sq. m. The expansion of production will increase the annual output of equipment from 200 to 500 units, as well as reduce delivery times to customers.

Investments in the project amounted to 140 million rubles. The funds were used for the construction of a new building, the preparation of production facilities and the purchase of equipment.

The new workshop will focus on the assembly of all "SM" garbage truck models with rear loading. The planned production volume is from 40 to 50 vehicles per month.

The company's model range includes more than 40 modifications of garbage trucks. The equipment is produced on various basic chassis. At the end of 2025, the plant produced 200 vehicles and occupied about 9% of the market.

The expansion of capacities is aimed at increasing the company's share and developing the production of specialized municipal equipment.
