Fine for loud vehicles may increase 5 times

The bill has already been submitted to the State Duma

In Russia, it has been proposed to increase the fine for noise from cars and motorcycles from 500 to 2,500 rubles: the bill has already been submitted to the State Duma.

The initiative belongs to the legislative assembly of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The document is posted in the database of legislative activity and is under consideration.

Currently, responsibility is regulated by Article 8.23 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a fine of 500 rubles. The authors of the bill consider this measure insufficient.

The document states that the increase in the fine is due to the increase in the number of complaints about noise and air pollution from transport. It is proposed to increase the penalty fivefold — to 2.5 thousand rubles.

The bill is under consideration, the timing of its adoption has not yet been determined.
